This will be quick and to the point.
Welcome to 1st Generation Warfare. No, not sticks and rocks. The Spiritual kind. There’s a reason why King Baldwin is making a resurgence. There is a reason why Warhammer 40K is moving into people’s hearts, minds and feeds.
This is Spiritaul Warfare. What 40K brings to life is fully armored humans batteling against demonic forces for their god. This is echoed throughout the Crusades as Christians march against demonic forces to free the English Empire from oppression. This isn’t some half hearted attempt atreconsiliation. This is a thrust with the sword into the heart.
Sssssymbolizum
40K is the symbolic modern version of this struggle. While it’s not by any means a Christian icon. It has obvious roots in it, and in many ways mocks it. But what it does do, is give men of this age a direction. For me, it’s a reminder of what the true battle looks like. What the full armor of God can do against evil.
I’m not genetically modified super human. But I am both a spiritual being, and a physical being. I am a super natural being. No other creature on this planet was made in the image of God. But I was. I am.
40K Resonates in young men, and not so young men, because it gives them the imagery of what that battle on the divine plane looks like. What God’s warriors could look like. Of what we could look like. When I imagine fighting in my faith. I do so from behind the visor of a MK4 helmet, or through the lenses of some Wiley X safety glasses with a MICH on.
Hyperbole
40K recognizes and explains that there are these creatures that are pure evil and they live in a different realm. They are corrupted, they were once good. It explains the Bible in a different way that makes sense in a lot of ways. As I stated before, its by no means any kind of Christian content. Don’t just toss your kids a Codex and think it’ll be edifying. It’s not.
Every creature God created knows it was created by Him. It understands that. 40K is simply an illustration of that. In my opinion, it’s more relevant to younger people. They understand how things could get that dark. To put it a different way it’s emotional and imaginative hyperbole. An over exageration of HUGE emotions and imaginations.
Conclusion:
So, now you know my opinion on that. Spiritual warfare. Plain and simple.
God Bless You and Keep You!
