I’m going to start posting a Scenario every now and then. Like a mental dry fire rep session. I recently asked some friends what they would do in the following situations:
Group was asked to choose from:

CCTA (Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attack) Scenario

1. VBIED/IED
2. Active Killer
3. Drone Swarm
   And to which would come first in a given scenario.

1 VBIED/IED wins for initial initiation method for our complex attack.

You and your family are at the Fairgrounds. It’s County Fair season. The smell of hot asphalt, good food, and manure mix together to bring back good memories, and a case of the munchies. You’re heading toward the food trucks with your family in tow. Everyone’s about had it, food is just the thing.

As you’re approaching the food trucks you hear a massive explosion from the grand stands and the earth shakes under your feet.

The screams, smells of burning, and sounds all poor over you in a rush as the wind rips your hat off.

((Everyone take a minute write down what you got. Feel free to share, or not. We’ll move forward later.))

8 minutes:
It begins to rain debris of all sizes, including blood and human as well as animal tissue.

18 minutes:
SWAT, Sheriff and the 153rd CAV have arrived on scene. The arena is now a blackened crater, and a quick glance indicates the explosion took place where the bathrooms under the bleachers used to be.

The animal houses on the South side of the arena are flattened. You see people picking through debris and calling for help.

21 minutes:
Something catches your attention, a vibration in the ground, and a distant “krumpf” sound a moment later. You look up and see smoke directly to the Southeast. You estimate it to be where the Resort is. Radios nearby begin going nuts as you piece together that the Resort has been hit as well.

22 Minutes:
Cars on Kathleen and Government begin to explode. Multiple vehicles up and down the road. You can hear the high pitched whine of quad copter rotors just before the explosions.

Scenario has concluded.
