Overarching review
In my military experience, I initially believed that I was being trained to the highest standard possible. However, upon further reflection and gaining exposure to alternative sources of knowledge and expertise, I realized that there was still much to learn and improve upon. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of continuous training and education. I’ve had the opportunity to learn from Kris at Combat Studies Group, who not only has extensive real-world experience in overseas security contracting but also has a passion for sharing his knowledge with others.
Kris’ ability to train people from all walks of life, from an 88-year-old grandmother to a Delta Operator, is truly remarkable. He tailors his approach to each individual’s needs and abilities, ensuring that they are challenged and supported throughout the learning process. This was highlighted for me in both the Gunfight Concepts courses and the Groundrod Courses.
By focusing on the “why” behind various techniques and strategies, Kris equips his students with a deeper understanding of the subject matter and helps them become more effective in their preparedness efforts.I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from Kris and other experts in the field, as it has allowed me to continually refine my skills and knowledge in order to better support and guide others on their preparedness journeys.
Being able to effectively teach others is a rare and valuable gift. Not everyone can balance teaching with patience and understanding while still maintaining high standards and expectations. When someone can do both, it creates an ideal learning environment that fosters growth and improvement. When it comes to learning, it’s essential to be proactive and set yourself up for success. By preparing questions, reviewing gear, and anticipating potential challenges, you’re ensuring that you make the most of your training experience.
This level of engagement and dedication not only enhances your own learning but also demonstrates respect for the instructor’s time and expertise. The value of training cannot be overstated, as it directly contributes to the development of skills that increase your chances of survival in various situations. Whether it’s high-speed tactical training, learning to can, sewing, or small engine repair, the more skills you have, the better prepared you’ll be to face the challenges that life may throw your way.Investing in quality training is an investment in your own resilience and adaptability, which are crucial traits for anyone looking to enhance their preparedness and overall well-being.
One of the best classes to take for date night
E&E (Escape and Evade) Kidnapping Defense Class: An Essential Training for Travelers and High-Risk Individuals the reason this is one of the best classes to take for date night is relying on your spouse to help you both get out of the situations together. Kris has had multiple couples go through this course and all of them have said the memories were priceless.
The Escape and Evade (E&E) Kidnapping Defense class is a crucial training program for anyone traveling outside the United States, business people who frequently travel, individuals carrying large amounts of cash, or those seeking to enhance their situational awareness. This class covers various aspects of being kidnapped, escaping, and ultimately ensuring your rescue or final escape.
The depth of understanding gained from this class is invaluable. By putting yourself in the shoes of someone facing such a dangerous situation, you’ll quickly realize that you were never truly prepared for real-life experiences like these. After completing the class, you’ll discover a heightened sense of awareness that you previously lacked.
Kris emphasized a truthful statement in both classes: “Skills trump gear.” It’s essential to understand that while quality equipment is vital, skills are what truly make a difference in high-pressure situations. This doesn’t mean you should stop buying or making quality gear; instead, focus on collecting skills like baseball cards. With this approach, you’ll have the MVPs of urban survival at your disposal.
To improve your preparedness and resilience, seek out local instructors or traveling trainers who specialize in urban survival, self-defense, and other relevant skills. Invest in yourself by attending classes and workshops that can enhance your abilities and provide you with valuable tools for navigating life’s unpredictable moments.
Remember, skills are the foundation of your tactical toolbox – they’re the MVPs that will be there for you when you need them most. So go out and get some training, and start filling your toolbox with skills that will last a lifetime.
