Literally everything in your life is provided by God. From the air you breath to the seemingly magical electricity that runs your body. God provides everything for us.
Pastor Mark Driscoll is one of my favorite pastors, I listen to his podcast very frequently. He often uses illustrations in his life that God has provided for. One of my favorite examples is when his family moved from Washington to Arizona. They had a jar and everyone put in prayer requests. He had recently found that jar while cleaning.
In the jar were all the requests, things like: “God please give us friends” and “Please provide a building.” Mark and his wife Grace, pulled them out and read them. All the prayers in the jar had been answered over the years.
God had provided everything they needed in His wisdom and according to His sovriegn plan.
Another of the examples is a conversation between a father and a son.
Mark Driscoll“If your son came to you and said: “Dad, I want to do the right thing. Will you help me?” What would your answer be? Yes!”
He uses this example to illustrate our realtionship with the Father and how He provides for us. That’s what I want to do. I want to do the right thing, and I’ve asked Father-God that He direct me in that way. “Father, I want to do the right thing. I want to do what YOU want me to do.” I think that is: helping people with the information and things I’ve been given.
Generosity
We recieved a gift from men doing exactly what God put on their heart to do. God put it on their hearts and they fired off a donation. I know them personally and I asked them “What did God tell you I should do with this money?” Because, believe me, I can spend money! There’s a new Arken calling my name and a mount and a… Back on track. Easy ADD…
They said: “You are very welcome. Put it towards your new equipment to take your podcasts to the next level. We talk regularly about how to support you in your endeavors. Saw that post you made and knew God has given us the means to help there even being so far away.”
And just like that. God provides.
(I’m leaving their names out for OPSEC reasons, or I’d blast it all over the place out of gratitude!)
Goals
Our first ever goal was reached by people giving. I only want to help people and if what I do is helpful, and you want to see it continue, you can buy things or donate. I don’t usually ask for donations because I want to make our own way here. I want to provide products and information that help you in exchange for your money. You worked hard for that money, you have a family, or goals, and I want to under promise and over deliver on what I give you for it.
Grattitude
I greatly appreciate the donation and we will get that equipment ordered and on the way. Interviews are coming. Including one with our generous benefactors.
Conclusion
God is good all the time. He will provide for you in everyway. Sometimes, out of nowhere. Be patient, and be looking for it. Look for the miracles every single day. His providence is in your life on a daily basis and sometimes He uses great people to answer your prayers.
God Bless You and Keep You!
